"There is a mysterious quadrangular place named Svetadvipa surrounding the outskirts of Gokula. Svetadvipa is divided into four parts on all sides. The abodes of
  1. Vasudeva, 
  2. Sankarsana, 
  3. Pradyumna, and 
  4. Aniruddha are separately located in each of these four parts. 
These four divided abodes are enveloped by the fourfold human requirements such as 
  1. piety, 
  2. wealth, 
  3. passion, and 
  4. liberation, 
as also by the four Vedas, viz. 
  1. Rg, 
  2. Sama, 
  3. Yajur, and 
  4. Atharva, which deal with the mantra and which are the bases of achievements of the fourfold mundane requirements. 
Ten tridents are fixed in the ten directions, including the zenith and nadir. The eight directions are decorated with the eight jewels of 
  1. Mahapadma, 
  2. Padma, 
  3. Sankha, 
  4. Makara, 
  5. Kacchapa, 
  6. Mukunda, 
  7. Kunda, and 
  8. Nila. 
There are ten protectors (dik — palas) of the ten directions in the form of mantra. The associates of the hues of 
  1. blue, 
  2. yellow, 
  3. red, and 
  4. white, and the extraordinary potencies bearing the divine names shine on all sides."
